ใน พ.ศ. 2562 กองบรรณาธิการวารสารธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม ขอนำเสนอบทความที่สอดคล้องกับแผนการปฏิรูปประเทศด้านทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม ใน 4 ประเด็นหลัก ได้แก่ ทรัพยากรทางบก
ทรัพยากรน้ำ/ทรัพยากรทางทะเลและชายฝั่ง ความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพ และสิ่งแวดล้อม/ระบบบริหารจัดการทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม โดยในวารสารฯ ปีที่ 8 ฉบับที่ 1 เดือนมกราคม-มีนาคม 2562 ฉบับนี้ เป็นเรื่องราวเกี่ยวข้องกับทรัพยากรทางบก ซึ่งเป็นทรัพยากรธรรมชาติที่มีคุณค่าต่อมนุษย์และสิ่งแวดล้อม เป็นฐานการพัฒนาประเทศและเศรษฐกิจ ตลอดจนสัมพันธ์กับวิถีชีวิต วัฒนธรรม และความเป็นอยู่ของคนในสังคม โดยกองบรรณาธิการฯ ได้นำเสนอองค์ความรู้ที่สำคัญเพื่อถ่ายทอดลงในคอลัมน์ต่างๆ เริ่มตั้งแต่ เรื่องจากปก การน้อมนำศาสตร์พระราชาใช้ในการรักษา พัฒนา และฟื้นฟูทรัพยากรป่าไม้ และท่องเที่ยวลึกซึ้งถึงกำเนิดแห่งแผ่นดิน ที่อุทยานธรณีสตูล อุทยานธรณีโลกแห่งแรกของไทย และยังมีบทความที่น่าสนใจอย่างยิ่ง คือ บทสัมภาษณ์พิเศษปลัดกระทรวงทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม กับบทบาทของประเทศไทยในฐานะประธานอาเซียน นอกจากนี้ ในคอลัมน์ส่องโลก ได้นำเสนอ ผลการดำเนินงานที่ตอบสนองต่อเป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน และจะนำเสนอเรื่องดังกล่าวอย่างต่อเนื่องในวารสารฯ ฉบับต่อ ๆ ไป
กองบรรณาธิการวารสารธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม หวังเป็นอย่างยิ่งว่า องค์ความรู้ที่นำเสนอจะสามารถสร้างความรู้และความเข้าใจต่อแผนการปฏิรูปประเทศด้านทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม ให้กับผู้อ่าน
เพื่อร่วมขับเคลื่อนประเทศให้เกิดความสมดุลและเป็นรูปธรรม ในการอนุรักษ์และใช้ประโยชน์ทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ
และสิ่งแวดล้อมอย่างเหมาะสมต่อไป In 2019, the Editorial Board of the Nature and Environment Journal would like to present to our readers articles corresponded to the National Reform Plans on Natural Resources and Environment
in 4 main subjects, namely land resources, water resources/marine and coastal resources, biodiversity, and environment/ natural and environmental management system. The contents of current journal, Vol. 8 No. 1 (January-March 2019), are associated to land resources, the most valuable natural resources to humans and environment, which is a fundamental factor for national and economic development, as well as its relationship with the way of life, culture and the well-being of people in society. The Editorial Board of the Nature and Environment Journal has chosen explicit knowledge to be published in various columns starting from the Cover Story the King’s Philosophy and Forest Conservation and Restoration and Amazing Journey to the origins of the land at Satun Geopark, The First Global Geopark, of Thailand. The Special Interview column provides an exclusive interview with the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment talking the role of Thailand as the chair of ASEAN.
In addition, the World Focus column has presented the works and responses toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which will be continuous by presented in the next journal’s issue.
